The contract was signed by the Ag. CEO. CPA. Anthony Kisaka and the representatives Guangxi Hydroelectric Construction Bureau at the Board’s headquarters in Kakamega in presence of all the Board of Directors.

The Multibillion Keben Dam Water Supply project is designed to serve over sixty per cent of residents of Nandi County mainly Nandi and Kapsabet towns including the surrounding neighborhoods and those along the distribution lines.

The project has been financed by the Chinese Government through China Construction Bank Corporation under Finance, Design and Build arrangement; an arrangement where the contractor selected through a competitive procurement process, with approval of the Kenyan government sources for a loan from its own sources, designs and develops the project of course with supervision of the Board and hands over the completed project to the client for operationalization.

The construction process for the project is expected to start within the next three months with the full execution of the contract upon validation and signing of the financing agreement by The National Treasury.
